Dallas School District No. 2 is accepting applications for a five-hour per day clerical position at Oakdale Heights Elementary School.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be over the age of 18 and have a high school diploma/GED.
- Work with students, staff, parents, and community in a friendly and professional, positive and supportive manner. Be comfortable with young children.
- Have service-oriented attitude with the ability to listen and problem solve. Have a warm and friendly demeanor, both in person and on the phone with the ability to make people feel valued, heard, and helped.
- Have the ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations and a very busy environment.
- Willing to handle medical needs for students who are injured, ill, or dealing with short-term or chronic disease. Willing to learn to dispense medication.
- Have strong interpersonal skills. Work well with others from diverse backgrounds. Be flexible and open to new ideas.
- A desire to work as an integral member of a team. Have the willingness to accept direction and desire to improve skills for individual and collective success.
- Willing to flex schedules with other team members on occasion.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic and initiative.
- Show good judgment and discretion and maintain the integrity of confidential information.
- Possess strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and general computer skills. Experience with data-based systems preferred.
